What the ...? What is wrong with small business owners? For some reason, they seem to ignore their own web sites once they go on-line. These sites are quickly outdated but the owners don't seem to give a damn. Plus they ignore the e-mails of potential customers. Is that any way to run a business? Check out Calvitto's at Salt Pond - prices are twelve years old. Owner probably is completely unaware that this site is out there. Then there's Sweeney's Wine and Spirits - never answered. Giro's Restaurant, now out of business - never answered. Damon's Hardware - never answered. Mariner Grille has/had nearly every entree costing $9.99 - wait, they appear to be updating their menu as we speak - good job. And the latest ... Spain Restaurant has a picture of the Coast Guard House Restaurant - on their main page at www.spainri.com - to remind people they have other options? - what! - is it still there? You can't make this stuff up people. Some of SCFun's pages are outdated but SCFun is not a small business owner. - 06/22/09.

Chad M. Mancuso, SKHS Class of 2007, was killed early April 17th when his car left the road on Route 1 at Kings Factory Road in Charlestown and and struck a tree. He was discovered around 6:00am. Police believe, based on reports from homeowners in the area, that the accident happened between 2:00 and 3:00am. Speed appears to be a factor. No aclcohol involved. Condolences to friends and family. - 04/18/09.

Wakefield Motors. Here today gone tomorrow. This was Jun 25, 2009, across from Wakefield Prescription and just south of Belmont Plaza on Route 108 (Kingstown Road). SCFun thought a small chunk would go when that scoop nudged the upper corner of the building but ... damn ... two thirds of the building just crumbled to the ground as if hit by a Wladimir Klitschko upper-cut. - 06/29/09.


Who Are they? They are at just about every Red Sox home game. The guy on the left is Dennis Drinkwater, owner of Giant Glass. Here's a story on him from 2005. The other guy is Jeremy Kapstein, former player agent and now an advisor to the Red Sox. He is very Google-able. He sat in the first row last year - in 2009, he moved up one row and added the head-phones. - 06/21/09.
