SCFun has driven by the Oak Hill Tavern in North Kingstown many, many times before finally stopping in for a look-see. Similar to the Mews Tavern in Wakefield except, here, you can hear yourself think. Great! Nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices. The popcorn and peanuts - throw shells on the floor - are a nice touch. 03/01/10.

What the ...? What is wrong with small business owners? For some reason, they seem to ignore their own web sites once they go on-line. These sites are quickly outdated but the owners don't seem to give a damn. Plus they ignore the e-mails of potential customers. Is that any way to run a business? Check out Calvitto's at Salt Pond - prices are twelve years old. Owner probably is completely unaware that this site is out there. Then there's Sweeney's Wine and Spirits - never answered. Giro's Restaurant, now out of business - never answered. Damon's Hardware - never answered. Mariner Grille has/had nearly every entree costing $9.99 - wait, they appear to be updating their menu as we speak - good job. And the latest ... Spain Restaurant has a picture of the Coast Guard House Restaurant - on their main page at www.spainri.com - to remind people they have other options? - what! - is it still there? You can't make this stuff up people. Some of SCFun's pages are outdated but SCFun is not a small business owner. 06/22/09.
